Goin' South!

That's right! We are beach bound in just a few hours. We can all hardly wait! I guess it might not be the ideal time to take a family vacation to Panama City Beach right in the midst of spring break, but it was a deal on a condo that was just too good to pass up. Besides, with a baby coming this summer we knew that a family vacation would be a "now or never" deal. So...we're off!

We are so looking forward to playing in the sand, eating TONS of good food, playing lots of games and watching a few movies. We have a very special event planned for Lawson, although he doesn't know it, yet. Next Friday, on our way home, we plan on going through Pensacola to the Naval Air Museum. Lawson is fascinated (or is the correct word obsessed?) with airplanes. We found out through Ms. Joyce who knows of Lawson's love of airplanes that the Blue Angels actually have practice sessions that you can watch. So, a couple of days ago I did some research and was able to find out that the museum is free as well as the Blue Angels practice. I am looking forward to surprising Lawson with this part of the trip! They also have an IMAX theatre that will be showing a movie about fighter jets. We are thinking this might just be a "must see" while we are there as well.

Jagger is just excited about "digging for treasure" in the sand. Aunt Mandy sent them a care package with lots of fun beach toys to enjoy on their trip--one of which was a treasure hunt kit. Does she know these boys or what? He has carried it around with him everywhere since he got it in the mail. But wouldn't you know it, today he woke up SICK! I quickly scheduled him an appointment at our campus clinic just to make sure we weren't coming down with anything too terrible. Luckily (I guess is the right word?) it is only viral and should clear within a few days. The dr. prescribed an antibiotic just incase he worsens while we are gone even though none of us anticipate him needing it. So unless anything unexpected happens, we are still Florida bound.

The boys should be set for their trip. Nana and Grandaddy have bought them some fun new things to keep them occupied on the road to hopefully help the time pass a little quicker. We are hoping since we are leaving in the middle of the night, that a good portion of the trip will be spent sleeping for them. That may be asking too much, though! :)

There most likely will not be many (if any at all) postings from me this coming week. I imagine that we will have little to no internet access--which is kinda nice! I plan on soaking up every moment of this trip with my family and having plenty of it to write about when I return.

Hope everyone has a GREAT weekend and following week!

Have fun. I hope Jagger gets to feeling better so he can enjoy treasure hunting :) I'll be anxious to hear about everything.
