The boys loving the air show! (I LOVE this picture of them!)
The boys at the air field.
Lawson and his new friend the Blue Angel pilot. (We had just gotten out of the IMAX movie where the crew was directing flights. That's what Lawson is doing here with his hands! :) )
The boys in there "diver's suit" as they called them. Thanks Aunt Mandy!!
The boys takin' in the sun on the beach.
Dad and the boys at the edge of the waves. This was a far as they would go. Not only was the water about 50 degrees and FREEZING, but they were a little intimidated by the waves!
One mean game of horseshoes!
My little golfers.
Jagger studying Lawson's shot. So, I have tried and tried to figure out how to add a slide show to my blog. I have come up empty! I have so many great pictures from vacation that I know there is no way to post them all in the actual posting section. I thought a slide show would be the perfect thing. I am not giving up. I think one option would be to place a link that will take you to Flickr where they are stored but I'm not ruling out the slide show just yet. If I get too frustrated trying I'll just give up and post the link.
I haven't written much about our trip yet. Despite all the wild happenings around us (i.e. girl being raped and thrown off a 6th floor balcony the second night we were there, MTV being set up right next door to our condo, and three guys being attacked on the beach and hospitalized the third or fourth night we were there, just to name a few!) we had a good time. We arranged our schedule most of the time around the spring-breakers. We quickly learned that the spring-breakers didn't come out to the beach until around 3 or 4 o'clock (perhaps from being hung over) so we did our beach time around 11 am and stayed out until 3 or 4. Then we would come in, clean up and go out to eat at 4 or 5. The restaurants were not crowded at that time and we were able to be in safe in our condo by dark. Made us all feel VERY old but it really was the best thing.
We all dressed in our green for St. Patrick's day and went out to eat. Steaks that night! It was so yummy! Wednesday we had rain so we drove in to Destin to hit Joe's Crab Shack--one of our favorites-- and then took to the boys to see Horton Hears a Who. The boys loved it but what was so funny was we bought Lawson a small bag of popcorn. The plan was for Lawson and I to share his bag and Jagger and Brandon would share the other bag. I had eaten maybe 2 handfuls and Lawson said "MOM!!! You're not leaving any for us to take back to the hotel!!!" I guess he was afraid that I was going to eat it all and he had planned to take some with him to munch on later. :) Now, every time we see the commercial for the movie both boys get excited and scream, "THAT's the movie WE got to see!!!" I love that they enjoyed so much of the trip!
Thursday late afternoon we spent packing so we could load the van that night and be ready for an early exit Friday morning to catch the air show. While mom and I stayed behind and packed, cleaned, did laundry, etc. the boys headed out for put-put golf. The golf course was directly across from our condo and we could see them from our front balcony. They were so cute out there. My dad managed to get a some cute pictures for me. Lawson said he didn't like those two hills that he had trouble with. But, Brandon did say that both Lawson and Jagger managed to get a "legitimate" whole in one!
Friday morning we were up by 5:00 am and left the condo at 6:00. We made it to Pensacola Air Base just in time for the air show. This stop was definitely worth getting up early for!!! We all enjoyed this part of the trip tremendously!! There was so much to see! We could have made a whole day of it but we knew we had a LONG trip staring us straight in the face so we managed to do the air show, quick tour, gift shop, lunch in the cafe, the IMAX movie, and quick picture pose with an ACTUAL Blue Angel pilot. We finished up about 1:00 and headed out.
Now this next part I am hesitant to admit but I feel that I must divulge. As we approached our van which was packed to the VERY MAX since we all (mom, dad, me, Brandon and kids) traveled together, we noticed that our sliding door to our van was wide open! I was horrified! It had been open the entire time we were there!! From 8:30 until 1:00!!! Everything was in that van in plain sight! Purses, iPods, laptops, toys, clothes, cameras, you name it--it was in there! Not one single thing was touched! My dad figured that no one thought anyone else would be stupid enough to leave a door open and probably thought someone was nearby. It did a lot to restore my faith in my fellow man a good bit! I realized that there are still honest people out there! BUT, I still don't think I'll test my fellow man again anytime soon! It was a sick gut feeling that was left in the pit of my stomach for a while!
I'll attach some of the photos from different parts of the trip and will keep working on that slide show! Hope you at least enjoy for now the ones I get on here.

I love the pics - esp. the one of Lawson and the pilot and there is one of Jagger holding the golf club - He looks so big. I still laugh and feel for you when I hear the van story!!!
I've had the same thing happen to my van...not for such a long period of time though.
I'm glad nothing was taken. I've also tried to figure out how to do a slideshow and can't. Let me know if you figure it out before I do :)
Loved the pictures.
