What a happy day!

What a happy day! Eight years ago I said some vows to a very special guy. We have done a lot over the past eight years, grown a lot and loved a WHOLE lot! Not a day goes by that I don't feel loved by my husband. Through ups and downs, smiles and tears, agreements and disagreements, I know we are both committed to being the best spouses we can be. Not to say that it isn't sometimes work, but I think it is work that we both enjoy.

God has blessed us and blessed our marriage in ways we would never imagine. It is hard to believe that most marriages these days won't last eight years, but sadly, they do not. Fortunately we committed to each other and to ourselves that we would work through any hard times that come our way. I know that life will throw more at us over the years but I think that commitment will always remain the same and that God will help us through whatever life hurls at us.

Eight years doesn't seem like a long time yet I barely remember a time without Brandon in my life. I am so blessed because he is such a huge part of my being and because he has blessed me with two wonderful little boys (not to mention one on the way!). I am so thankful each day for him but especially on today as it reminds me that even though the vows were said eight years ago, we are still committed to them just as if we had said them today.

I think it's pretty obvious what the top picture is of--our wedding day--our perfect day, thanks to all our family and friends. The picture below is us on our honeymoon. We were 24 and 22 when we married, yet I can remember feeling like a kid playing grown-ups as we were leaving for our honeymoon. It felt so weird to be taking a "grown-up" trip by ourselves. It's funny to look back on those things and see how far we've come. The past eight years have allowed us to grow and hopefully we show our children each day a husband and wife that love each other very much and work through problems together.
