Spring time colors = pure happiness. :)

For me, these two go hand in hand. I love color. Lots and lots of color. Our first house that Brandon and I ever lived in had no two rooms painted the same color. Every room was it's own shade of a bright vivid color. I loved it. It made me happy. It still makes me happy.
The truth is, I'm not sure if it's the good report we got from Vanderbilt, or all the new life that spring time is bringing or what, but I feel myself high on life at times. I'm just giddy when I look at the trees budding, flowers blooming, my kids enjoying the bright and warmth of the sunshine. My heart is happy.
We had a lovely Easter holiday. I was able to attend Jagger's Easter party at pre-school and he was so tickled. I could tell it meant a lot that I went. And that made me...happy. He was able to "decorate" his own bunny cupcake; however, very little icing made it to the cupcake. The spoon always seemed to detour in the direction of his sweet little lips. (A boy after my own heart.)
After our return home from the hospital we were able to color Easter eggs. Each child (young and old!) put personal touches on his/her eggs. They were so proud of these.
Even Rhett got in on the egg coloring fun. Realizing that he'd end up with more "color" on him than the eggs I just let him have at it. After all, it was about being...happy. :)
As you can see he concentrated just as hard on his egg as the bigger ones did!
Lawson being my artistic one worked so meticulously on his eggs. They had to be perfect. He started out with a picture of his family on his first egg.
Then he graduated to an airplane and on to Boba Fett.
Jagger just wanted green eggs. With his name on it. He has trouble with those pesky "e's" so aside from a little help with it, he did it on his own.

Of course no one in our household can live up to our master artist; the head of our family. He always shows us up. :)
The boys awoke to Easter baskets with goodies and lots of sugary treats. We laughed and said that Easter is as bad as Halloween for candy. We still have a bucket full of chocolate sitting atop our kitchen counter that begs us to partake in each time we pass by it.
We dressed in our Sunday best and enjoyed our time at church together and afterwards headed home to enjoy one of the finest home cooked meals we've had in a long time. Everything was perfect. Family dinners, egg hunts and did I mention candy? :)

I hope that your Easter holiday was equally blessed and that you found priceless treasures on that special day! :)

Yummmmmmm...can you smell the happiness from where you are? :) It's delicious!
